The Oakland Group was formed by Gavin and Craig Bassford, two brothers from Knowle, Solihull.

It comprises Oakland Countryside Services, Oakland Landscaping and Oakland Outdoor www.oaklandoutdoor.co.uk.

Countryside Services and Landscaping operate in the local community around the Solihull area of the West Midlands.

Oakland Outdoor is a national retailer of technologically superior wood care products and services. The products are used on ‘high value’ wood used outdoors such as garden furniture, decking, cladding, gates, windows etc.

Oakland Outdoor operates nationally but maintains the same high standards held for the local businesses.

We

• carry Public Liability Insurance of £2m.
• are a licensed waste carrier via the Environment Agency (Licence Registration CB/LP3718JK).
• are a vetted member of the Solihull Council Trading Standards ‘Shipshape’ scheme’ (and after being vetted carried out work for one of the Trading Standards officers and still do!).
• are a vetted member of The Guild of Master Craftsmen

Work comes from either word-of-mouth references or Trading Standards ‘Shipshape’ enquiries.

Many domestic clients take the services and more than 25% are over retirement age.

Commercial clients also take regular services to keep their properties looking sharp and well presented.

We’re proud of all the work we do for our clients but some immediate recognisable references in the Solihull area are the Birmingham Audi and Stratstone Land Rover sites on the Stratford Road, Shirley, the The Punch Bowl, Lapworth and Caterpillar in Hockley Heath.
